Anti-Tuberculosis Movement (GETUK) as an Effort to Prevent Tuberculosis Disease in Cileles Village, Labuan Village, Serang Regency in 2024

The Anti Tuberculosis Movement (GETUK) is an initiative carried out by the Public Health Study Program of Universitas Faletehan to enhance community understanding of Tuberculosis (TB) in Cileles Village, Labuan District, Mancak. This activity took place on July, 13, 2024, involving 20 community members who attended the counselling session. The methods used included pre-tests, presentation, question and answer session, and post test to evaluate the participants’ understanding. The results indicated that many community members still lack knowledge about the symptoms and causes of TB, highlighting the need for more intensive education. Through collaboration with Puskesmas Mancak, this program aims to reduce the transmission rate of TB and improve the overall well-being of the community.

Marketing Strategy Analysis Using Social Media at Polytechnic Pancasakti Global Tegal

Tegal is one of the regions in Central Java that has enormous potential in the economic sector which needs to be supported by qualified human resources. One way to support this is through formal education. With the rapid development of the information technology sector and supported by adequate infrastructure, Pancasakti Global Polytechnic as one of the private universities in Tegal City must have the right strategy in improving marketing so that it can compete with other universities. Many universities have utilized social media to expand and improve their marketing. The existence of social media, which is very popular with the millennial generation today, has an impact on the rapid spread of information and communication. The purpose of this research is to find out what social media management strategies are carried out by the Pancasakti Global Tegal Polytechnic in improving marketing and the factors that can influence marketing. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, and data collection was carried out by direct interviews. This research obtained the results of the social media management strategy of the Pancasakti Global Tegal Polytechnic through social media Instagram, Facebook and online reservation applications which can improve marketing.

TRANSFORMASI DIGITAL PADA UMKM PEDESAAN: STUDI KASUS EMPING MAK KARIMAH DESA CISALAM KECAMATAN BAROS PROVINSI BANTEN

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: (1) memberikan panduan dalam proses produksi produk Emping Mak Karimah, (2) meningkatkan omzet pemasaran melalui pemanfaatan media sosial dan inovasi kemasan, serta (3) meningkatkan pemahaman pemilik UMKM tentang pentingnya pembukuan dan laporan keuangan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan pemilik UMKM emping yang berlokasi di Kampung Pasir Eurih RT/RW 014/004, Kelurahan Cisalam, Kecamatan Baros, Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Metode pelaksanaan disesuaikan dengan kondisi new normal di masa pandemi Covid-19, melalui pendekatan penjelasan dan pengarahan secara door-to-door, diskusi interaktif, serta pendampingan langsung kepada pemilik UMKM terkait materi yang disampaikan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan omzet penjualan, kemampuan pemilik UMKM dalam menyusun pembukuan sederhana, serta peningkatan keterampilan dalam memasarkan produk mereka.

Implementation of Read Aloud Activities for Children in Bumi Krakatau Permai Complex, Kramatwatu-Banten

Bumi Krakatau Permai complex is located in RW 001 of Margatani village, Kramatwatu sub-district, Serang Regency and has a varied age range of residents ranging from infants to the elderly, mostly occupied by residents with a pattern of work as private employees of industrial factories in the Cilegon and Serang areas. Therefore, the economic status of the residents of this complex is middle to upper class. Read Aloud is the most effective method of teaching reading to children because with this method we can condition the child's brain to associate reading as a fun activity. The initial stage is to conduct observations using interviews, pretest questionnaires directly in order to determine the level of interest in reading of children in the Bumi Krakatau Permai complex. The target audience for the implementation of read aloud activities for children in the Bumi Krakatau Permai complex, Kramatwatu-Banten in RW 001 Margatani village, Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency. The resource person in this reading aloud activity is the service team or lecturers from across the Prodi of Faletehan University of Serang. This activity was carried out with four readers and four bookish play assistants for each group. The PAUD group with reader Kak Ratna and Kak Tifa as bookish play assistants, the kindergarten group with reader Kak Urfa and Kak Nurma as bookish play assistants, the grade 1-3 elementary school readers namely Kak Lina and Kak Anggit as bookish play assistants, and the grade 4-6 elementary group with reader Kak Niya and Kak Fajar as bookish play assistants. After the read aloud was finished, the Read Aloud Serang team did bookish play in the form of making pop-ups of the Al-Aqsa mosque. The materials used were glue, scissors, and paper that had been printed with pictures of the Al-Aqsa mosque.

Optimalisasi Produksi Sebagai Sumber Pendapatan Alternatif di Kelompok Usaha Gerabah Kampung Kosambi, Kecamatan Ciruas, Kabupaten Serang, Banten

This training activity aims to provide education to the Kosambi village pottery business group in understanding maximizing the amount of production of pottery craft products so that MSMEs can maximize the number of sales which will ultimately increase alternative income for business actors. This training activity method begins with a survey of PKM activity locations, preparation of the necessary facilities and infrastructure, providing direct or face-to-face training on how to calculate the cost of production and providing outreach regarding product variations and of course ongoing monitoring and evaluation. This service is a community service collaboration between lecturers and students with a total of 18 training participants in the pottery craft business. The hope of implementing this training is that pottery business actors can understand and be skilled in maximizing product variations and production quantities which will have an impact on increasing alternative income for business actors.
